| Today a miracle happened. After nine iterations on and off the scales with each time taking a wheel off, adjusting the spring perch and putting the wheel back on, I achieved perfect 50/50 cross weights with my lard a** in the car. Too bad for Corey since he is 50 lbs lighter than me. |

| Haha. Is Corey heading over for the keras event? Guess we got lucky with the vette. It only took a few mins on the scales. |

| Richard, congrats. Where are you scaling the car, the CRX might be ready for alignment and scaling in about 2 weeks. |

I don't know if Corey is coming to the Kera event. We are in touch and he wants more seat time this year.
I borrowed the scales from a buddy at work that races round track. I can see if I can keep them around for a while, but he will need them back when his season starts. Last year, I went to Milton Grant's garage to use his. Milton's were light and these are heavy based on SCCA but it's all relative when all you're doing is corner weights.
The vette has a stiffer frame-even with my roll cage I'm not as stiff. Thus when you jack the spring perch the weight moves all over instead of just diagonal like a tube frame car.
Looking at increasing size of front roll bar and using modular component (NASCAR style). That won't hold me up from racing, so I plan to be out at the KERAS event. |

Think that was the first event we ran the caddy in you guys region as well. I beat Luke by a full second yesterday raw. So we'll see how he handles the jump in weight and hp |

Glad to hear, corner balancing is an ART form. When done though it can really change how the car handles, can't wait to see how it affects yours Richard.
Nice to hear Luke may be there, he is 1 smooooth driver & very fast. Another person to beat me. Oh well, it will be okay!

| May not be done with corner balancing just yet. Plan to go to alignment shop on Saturday. Get it speced out to my desires and then put it back on the scales to see if it changed enough to worry about trying to rebalance. I am looking forward to testing new set up. Lots of variables though with old tires and dirty lot. At least I heard it had a lot of sand/gravel on it. The big test will be on the clean concrete at Blytheville late May. Would be good to have a local there in late April, early May. |

| The miracle went away. After the alignment, the crossweights were off again by 27 lbs. I have reworked it and got within 4 lbs and am calling it close enough. Hope we get good weather next weekend. |

| Based on the way my body weight is distributed to the four corners from the driver's seat, I need to lose about 7 pounds to make the 4 lb differential disappear. That's doable. On the other hand, if I gain any, the diffential goes up. Fun with numbers. I just need to quit thinking and start driving. |
